UPDATE

Just wanted to let my friends know that a setback landed me back in the hospital on Monday night, and left me staring up at those huge lights the OR again on Tuesday morning. I didn't want to bring my laptop to the hospital, fearing it might be lost, unfinished masterpieces and all, but mad boredom (and excesive TV watching) made me change my policy.

Many thanks and much love to everyone who has sent good wishes, cards, prayers, and gifts. I hope to be home and up to writing more on Saturday afternoon.

BLISS to all as you celebrate the holidays!

The only way to see those lights, is to be the one responsible for turning them on. Heal well. As best you can.

sweet patry . . . sending you love and smooches and well wishes and all sorts of wildly amazing good energies across the net from someone you've never met but who celebrates your radiance as i were basking in it, then shining a mirror so that your loveliness beams its goodness right back to you . . . yes :)

Patry...You reached out to all of our lives with your writing. More than any other person I read, I have been obliged to read your posts out loud to my wife...even when my voice was being blasted with radiation itself.

If the love I see pouring in can't help to lift you up, then something is wrong with this world...Peace, healing and yes...much bliss. The world has too few voices that can make me cry...

Ditto on all of the above, Patry! Thinking of you as I shovel today, and remembering how much you liked the photo of my front door with its snow-dusted wreath and Santa on guard last year. Please let us know when you're back home again! Love, K.

Much love to you Patry. I'm off to a Buddhist retreat over the Christmas season and you will be much in my thoughts, over here in the green and frosty countryside of South-West England, both on my meditation cushion and off it.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. Gary expressed my feelings best: if all the love expressed here can't lift me up, then something's wrong with this world. But it has, it has...and more than you know.

December 22 and I'm still in the hospital. Hoping to make it home for Christmas eve...

Patry,

Sorry, but you being sick at the time when I need you as a mentor is not acceptable. You'll have to cancel this illness and get back to our regularly scheduled camaraderie and inherent fraternization. Sorry for the hassle.

xo,

Robin
